Iverson wants to return
Allen Iverson has stated that he wants to return to the NBA. The question is why ? Allen Iverson was dealing with a lot of family issues last season. The health of his daughter was priority number one. The Philadelphia 76ers signed Iverson to improve attendance. Iverson did just that in his first game with the 76ers since being released by the Memphis Grizzlies.
However, if you watched Allen Iverson play last year you noticed that his speed and quickness were gone. Iverson had major problems staying healthy as well. Iverson had knee problems from the start. If Iverson does return to the league will he be willing to come off of the bench? Iverson said he wants to help any team in any capacity.
The 76ers gave Allen Iverson a chance last season. The 76ers under new head coach Doug Collins have to move on in a different direction now.
The next time you see Allen Iverson wearing a Philadelphia 76ers uniform, he will be part of their ring of honor ceremony.
